Donations to OK Box
Soon we hope to have a secure and convenient means of donating money online via PayPal.
Meanwhile, it's important to maintain complete transparency and avoid any appearance of impropriety, so we ask that you help us with the paper trail provided when you write us a check or with a receipt we will write when cash is tendered. There have already been some louts that have been caught collecting money that went right into their own pockets. Unbelievable!
As a registered 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization, contributions to Ok Boxes are fully deductable, depending on your tax situation. Please discuss this with a tax expert if this is an issue for you. A 501c3 tax receipt is returned to you automatically after receipt of your kind donation.
Be sure to notate check or instructions with the words "troop support" to make sure funds are applied correctly.

To whom it may concern:
This letter will confirm that one of the long term missions and outreach programs of First Baptist Church of San Luis Obispo is the "Helping Soldiers in the Desert with Care Packages." This outreach mission helps support our troops overseas by sending much needed care packages to our soldiers.
All donations to First Baptist Church of San Luis Obispo identified as "troop support" will receive a 501c3 tax receipt. All donations identified as troop support are held for and used by Si Tenenberg for the sole purpose of purchasing supplies and paying for postage to ship the care packages.
Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.
Sincerely yours,
Lisa Mayer
